Creative studio NOMINT has once again partnered with WWF, this time to spread a message of hope in the face of extreme biodiversity loss as the wildlife conservation organisation launches its 2026 Living Planet Report.
While the report revealed some devastating data, the initiative focusses on the power of hope and collective action, highlighting key species that have fought their way back from the brink through vibrant, scrap-book imagery paired with an uplifting voiceover.
Led by NOMINT from creative strategy and concept development through to production and execution, the moving campaign spans eight films, direct mail and OOH, realised through a beautiful, hand-crafted visual language developed by artist Joana Sus, with editing by Stacy Peterson and the team at Cut+Run.
Music and sound played an equally important role in bringing the films to life, with Twelve Decibels on music supervision, 750mph on sound design and Black Kite Studios on colour grading, helping shape the rhythm and emotion of each visual poem.
Marilena Vatseri, Creative Director and Managing Partner at NOMINT, said: “The Living Planet Report is one of WWF’s most important global publications, so the scale and responsibility of this campaign felt enormous. This year also marks an important shift. For the first time, WWF is introducing the Science of Hope, looking not only at what we are losing, but at what can recover, what can change and what is possible when we act together.
Our ambition was to turn that thinking into a truly global campaign. Across eight films, OOH and direct mail, we wanted to take an incredibly complex body of science and create something that could speak to people anywhere in the world. Ultimately, we wanted people to experience the report differently. To understand the urgency of what is happening, but also to see the evidence of what is possible. There is something incredibly powerful in knowing that the story can still change.”
