When was the last time you leant back, rushed forward and shouted "weeeeeeeeeeeeeee" at the top of your lungs?
Whilst jumping on a swing might be something most of us haven't done since the 90s, you never quite forget the rush of gravity taking charge, and such is the sensation gaming company Papaya is trying to recapture in its new brand platform.
Created by brand-new agency You’re the Goods, marking its first released work, Swing sees a pair of jolly lads swoop over a New York street suspended from a terrifyingly long chain.
Directed by MJZ's Nicolai Fuglsig, the film cleverly eschews CGI in order to create its effect, instead employing the stunt team from Dune, Mission Impossible and the James Bond series to enable its actors to swing from a 165-foot-high crane.
Dom Goldman, Founder and CCO of You’re the Goods, comments: “Our founding client, Papaya has been an incredible collaborator with shared ambitions. The ‘Play On’ platform embodies a long-term vision that invokes a desire to play, while offering a clear and compelling call to action.
"This work serves as a statement of intent. We are here to tell stories that endure and to champion the importance of craft.”
"When I read the script, it was the simple, uncomplicated story that gave it so much power," adds Fugslig, "and its quiet, relatable nostalgia that made it so impactful.
Working in-camera on something as visually exciting and unique as Swing elevates how we experience the actors' performances."
