Sensitively directed by Tom Tagholm through Various Films, this touching charity campaign for the Department of Health and Social Care shines a light on the variety of roles and relationships involved in being an adult carer.
Despite its subtle approach, the film packs a strong emotional impact, offering a glimpse into genuine moments shared between carers and the people they work with. The addition of Blur’s meditative track Good Song, (which was generously donated by the band) perfectly ties the slice-of-life vignettes together.
Various added: “We don’t shy away from the practicalities of the job in the film - in fact we put these front and centre. The idea wasn’t to sugar coat Adult Social Care. Often these practical beats in a life - getting from A to B, answering emails, shopping - were where the connection felt the most vivid.”
