Director Andrew De Zen has unveiled this immersive, mixed-media spot for the Intact Insurance, championing the grit and dedication of Canada’s speed skating team at the Winter Olympics.
Produced through Revolver Films, the ambitious campaign blends dynamic live action shots - using an innovative combination of mobile camera systems – and imaginative animation by Chemistry Film to explore what truly shapes an athlete's career.
The film follows speed skaters at ice level before plunging into the grooves carved into the surface; a visual metaphor for the years of dedication and repetition that lead athletes to the Olympic stage.
