London theatre KOKO kicks off its 125-anniversary celebrations with this poetic film, titled If These Walls Could Talk, developed and directed by Ned Botwood through Somesuch, with creative direction from the venue's Founder, Oliver Bengough.
The film is a bold and chilling montage of diverse characters performing a spoken word poem alluding to their enchanting experiences within the theatre’s historic walls.
Featuring a depiction of Ellen Terry, the actress du jour of the 1900s and an icon of aestheticism who first opened the venue in 1901, the film also portrays grime, indie, punk and garage fans through the eras.
