The line between real life and performance begins to blur for a Benidorm holiday entertainer in this intriguing and comical promo for Irish band Makeshift Art Bar’s track, Discipline.
Playfully directed by Colin Peppard through Rowdy Pig, the five-minute video follows the increasingly sad and absurd story of a Harry Styles tribute act who, admittedly, bears little resemblance to the British artist and former One Direction star.
Set against the sun-soaked backdrop of a faded holiday resort, the protagonist becomes consumed by his stage persona, meticulously rehearsing dance routines and sewing his own costumes in his dreary hotel room.
The result is five minutes of knowingly silly, tongue-in-cheek storytelling that even breaks the fourth wall as holidaymakers wander into shot and interrupt filming.
