How do you advertise a trainer? Sports apparel brand Nike and streetwear label Corteiz have a few thoughts in this punchy, fast-paced spot launching the R419 sneaker, created by OUT OF OFFICE and directed by UNCANNY through magna studios.
Packed with celebrity cameos, including Maya Jama, footballer Kobbie Mainoo and artist Slawn, the film unfolds through a stream of high-energy conversation, as concepts for the perfect ad give way to increasingly outlandish ways to showcase the shoes’ versatility.
Those ideas are brought to life in a series of surreal, unexpected scenarios, transporting the sneakers everywhere from outer space to a lizard-infested baby shower.
