The Mexican banger Canción del Mariachi might well be associated in your brain with Antonio Banderas belting it out, but its central refrain's similarity to the Slovak "ajaj" ("oh dear") makes it a perfect soundtrack to this new ad from MUW Saatchi & Saatchi.
Designed to promote Slovak Telekom's new digital assistant, Magenta AI, The Ay Ay Ay Ay puts the mariachi tune into the anthropomorphised mouths of various malfunctioning objects, all of which can be sorted by using the new service.
The punchy track is complemented by some delightfully conjured creations, with directors Marek Partyš and Adam Kubala bringing a giddy sense of joy to the whole piece, and production and VFX from opa. helping make the proposition feel surprisingly endearing.
