Yeah yeah, the castles are cool, the landscapes occasionally spectacular, and the sense of history palpable, but you can't deny the pulling power of iconic movie scenes for Great British tourism.

Taking a spectacular montage of said moments and plonking some unsuspecting tourists in the middle of them, Pablo London and Smuggler's Tom Hooper have created Starring GREAT Britain; an enjoyable trip through action-packed cinema, with Ethan Hunt, Spider-Man, and Paddingto,n all vying for screen time alongside the vistas.

Kudos should be paid too to the film's edit (Russell Icke), which seamlessly integrates real-world locations with rich cinematic legacies, featuring iconic sites like Portobello Road (Paddington), Anglesey (House of the Dragon), St. Paul’s (Mission Impossible: Fallout), Loch Shiel (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban), and West Wycombe Park (Bridgerton), highlighting their dual role as both film sets and immersive visitor destinations.

The hero film marks the centre of a campaign that also encompasses high-impact digital billboards in global cities, an interactive digital map of film locations, genre-led travel itineraries, social media activations, tourism partnerships, and a comprehensive online hub on VisitBritain.com, all designed to immerse visitors in Britain’s cinematic heritage and inspire real-world exploration.

“Great Britain really is a creative highlight when it comes to the movies and shows that we all know and love," comments Pablo London Executive Creative Director Dan Watts.

"Whilst A-listers get their fair share of the spotlight, it’s been a cinematic thrill to remind everyone of the diverse stage that lets them tell their stories. Working with Tom Hooper, nine major studios and VisitBritain has been an epic journey – we hope it encourages people across the globe to take an epic journey across Britain, for themselves.”

“I love the idea of a Great British world that exists beyond the margins of the film frame," adds Hooper. "That were you able to zoom out of a movie you wouldn’t see a camera, lights, crew, trucks as expected but you would see the real world going on in parallel, as if the fictional realities of the stories co-existed with our everyday life here in Britain.

"Britain is dense with story, just as it is dense with history. I wanted to turn our lens onto a layered multiverse where stories are endlessly present and whichever way you turn you can encounter one."
