Created for Michelob ULTRA buy Wieden + Kennedy the ad sees Dafoe and O’Hara – who recently appeared together in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice – set about hustling on the pickleball court in order to land some free beers.
The film was directed by Stacy Wall through Imperial Woodpecker and features cameos from NFL legend Randy Moss, Olympic gold medalist Ryan Crouser and WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu.
Ricardo Marques, Senior VP Marketing for Michelob Ultra says: "We were looking for a couple of things, one was chemistry between these two characters. We obviously know that Willem and Catherine have worked together in the past. They know each other, so that is important. But also we were looking for characters that could be very likeable and very friendly, but at the same time a little bit dangerous and intimidating — in a fun way, of course — and both had that unique combo, which was perfect for this script.”
