Electric Theatre Collective launches in Poland
Spearheaded by Creative Director Mikolaj Valencia, CG Supervisor Marek Gajowski, Compositing Lead Rafał Sadowy and FX Lead, Igor Velichko.
In 2011, Electric Theatre Collective burst onto the scene with a raw energy and a distinct underdog spirit.
It’s an attitude that stuck long after their first award wins. Across fifteen years spent producing hugely ambitious work with world-renowned talent. When New York was launched in early 2025, it was done so with an unwavering dynamism. And eighteen months later, the third site is set: Introducing ETC Warsaw, Poland.
ETC no.3 has been on the cards for a while. But it’s never been about scale for scale’s sake. The MO remains unchanged: talent comes first. Warsaw is home to outstanding talent, accessible post-Brexit as an extension to the already-thriving teams in the UK and US. Comprising the culture and quality of the studios built before it, with a key focus on tapping into new European talent and opportunities.
At the helm of it all? A quad of established Polish talent. Spearheaded by Creative Director Mikolaj Valencia, he is joined by CG Supervisor Marek Gajowski, Compositing Lead Rafał Sadowy and longtime ETC Collaborator and FX Lead, Igor Velichko. With collective experience across commercials, gaming, episodic and film, their ETC Warsaw portfolio is already stacked with high-calibre work the studio is synonymous with.
“Launching in Warsaw is really the culmination of the last three years of thinking”, says ETC CEO, Jon Purton. “We wanted a European hub and explored a range of cities. For so many reasons, Warsaw felt original and compelling.
“We’ve been working with brilliant creatives from Poland and Ukraine for a number of years and so we were confident that we could find the calibre of artist that we want as part of our studio. With giant brands like Platige Image and Televisor, as well as the famous Lodz film school, the creative pedigree and culture in Poland is very exciting.”
